Requests?

So Sunriver is fast approaching. Does anyone have any requests for:

Activites
Dinners
Meals in general - ideas for assignments, etc
crafts
room assignments - maybe a draw out of the hat or do you really care? Afterall everyone will get their own room.............
ETC!

  1. As long as we get a normal sized bed and not a futon, we're okay. Activities : Golf, more golf, float the river, golf, practice golf, bike ride, bike ride to the golf course, etc... No, but really, I'm up for anything. Floating the river is always nice and relaxing, bike rides are nice. Maybe we could go old school and head up Mt. Bachelor or something. Board games, etc. are fun to have around too. Hitting up a park with a frisbee or football would be fun too. Maybe have a family Ultimate Frisbee game or something like that.

I like when everyone has their meal night. That's always a fun way to switch things up and makes it so Mom doesn't have to cook every night. So that's my vote. Just let everyone know which night they are assigned. I'll try to think of some other stuff too. I know that Nikki would like to make those books and do some beading too.

  2. Meals:
    - Every family takes a nite preparing the meal
    - Every family bring up a few treats, snacks to have around

    Crafts:
    - Books
    - Beading (of course!)
    - Wood frames? (cheap, easy, and cute! I would be willing to head this up!)
    - Card making (Dani always has such cute ideas!)

    Activities:
    - Split up and do two separate river floats for those that want to go - take turns babysitting?
    - Bike riding
    - Mt. Bachelor
    - Concert on the green (or whatever it's called?)

    Room Assignments:
    - Josh and I will be fine anywhere, though we'd prefer a regular bed as well. It would probably be good to see what sleeping arrangements some of the older grandkids will need.

And I know I am anal. I know. BUT should we assign everyone a nite to do clean up after dinner? I know it goes fast when everyone helps, but that's also a ton of people trying to help pick up and put away. I am not trying to sound like we have to have a schedule for everything, but I also think we need to make it fair so that the same people aren't the ones who are always cleaning up. We should also maybe do a sweep at least once, maybe twice a day of all of the common areas. There are going to be lots of people and lots of kids, which equals lots of stuff. I think it's best if we try to keep as much stuff as we can in our own rooms so that it doesn't get lost, mixed up, etc. I know....anal.

  4. So...can I come?! haha! I'll probably be in labor anyway or I just might be serious. :) This is very reminisint of our La Jolla planning. It makes me giggle. Don't you love how after all the years you've gone you still find new things and ways to do things to improve the trip? You guys are going to have a blast! Oh, and sorry I'm invading your families vacation blog! :)

  5. Nic and I will be the last to be up there...we prefer our own room (if you know what i mean hehe). Thank you mom and dad for making it so that we can all have our own rooms! I'm up for all that has been said for activities - they all sound great to me! I with Summer on the whole cleaning thing, because I don't want to have to take care of poopy diapers that don't belong to me or my kids that aren't there. haha It all sounds so exciting!

  6. We really can make anything work as far as room assignments go. We are pretty flexible.

    Food:
-Yes, to everyone doing their own night again
-Everyone bring a baked treat and a bag of candy (or two)
-Also, if you want to make another food assignment Mom, we are happy too. We can either provide the food for our dinner, or if everyone should bring a couple loaves of bread or something. :)

    Activities:
-swimming- the kids will love the kiddie pool this year
    -concert on the green
-the music at the park in Bend
    -Board games!!!
    -Walks every morning! And evening!
    -Floating the river

    Crafts:
-Frames would be fun and easy!
-I would love to do cards
-Books (might be a little time consuming- remember four hours? but fun)

And I think having two couples clean up every night is a grand idea! That way there aren't too many people, but it's not too overwhelming for the one couple who cooked. Sounds grand to me!!!

We cannot wait!!! Thanks Mom and Dad!!!
